Vacancy: Coach Education Co-ordinator

Salary: £18,046 - £21,241 Pro Rata

Hours: 20 hours per week

Location: Wales National Velodrome


Welsh Cycling is the Governing Body of Cycle Sport in Wales. We are seeking to appoint a Coach Education Co-ordinator to develop cycle coaching in Wales.  The post holder will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive coaching plan, with the aim of recruiting, developing and retaining coaches and ensuring the ongoing development of existing cycling coaches throughout Wales across all disciplines.

 

The post holder will continue to develop the UK Coaching Certificate within Wales, and will plan, organise and monitor a co-ordinated programme of high quality, professional cycling coaching activities that are progressive and reflective of the needs of Welsh Cycling.

The Coach Education Co-ordinator will work towards the recruitment and development of coaches through education and professional development in club, regional and national coaching environments

We are looking for a suitably qualified highly motivated individual to further develop key projects and programmes for Welsh Cycling’s Coach Education.

 

Applicants will need to possess:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Excellent leadership skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Ability to travel;

Ability to work evenings and weekends.

 

Welsh Cycling employees are automatically awarded Gold Membership of British Cycling. Hours of work are 20 hours per week which will incorporate weekend and evening work. Holidays are 20 days per year (pro rata), with membership of the pension scheme offered on joining the company.
