Track Attack Iceland Events

Track Attack project sponsored by Iceland has been very successful during school holidays at feeding new cyclists at a beginner’s level into their local Go Ride club.
Now comes the Iceland Trophy Event for all levels of cyclists from beginners through to more established youth riders.
The event consists of three races; Maindy Cardiff Aug 30th, Carmarthen Sept 13th and Newport Oct 18th.
Racing:
Funding is available for the three main feeder clubs (Newport Velo, Towy Riders and Maindy Flyers) to hire a mini bus to take children to each event in the series, and also a van to transport bikes. Also new riders from the Track Attack sessions will be welcome at these races.
Event Programme:
Maindy Sat Aug 30th
U16/14 – Keiren, Derny race.
U12 – 2 lap pursuit, Sprint Ladder. (Seeded from pursuit results)
U10 - 2 lap pursuit, Sprint Ladder. (Seeded from pursuit results)
Carmarthen Sat Sept 13th
U16/14 – Scratch, Points, Devil. (U16 will be restricted to U14 gears)
U12 – 2 lap pursuit, Sprint Ladder. (Seeded from pursuit results)
U10 - 2 lap pursuit, Sprint Ladder. (Seeded from pursuit results)
Newport Sat Oct 18th
U16/14 – 1500m pursuit, Match Sprint (Seeded from pursuit)
U12 – 1000m pursuit, Match Sprint (Seeded from pursuit)
U10 - 1000m pursuit, Match Sprint (Seeded from pursuit)
Prizes:
Prizes will be given for each of the individual events with the main prizes for the overall series.
