Wales riders put on a good show at the Revolution20080114_luc

In front of a sell-out crowd, Luc Jones coolly opened Wales' account at the Revolution with a thrilling victory in the Boys' 1 Mile Dash. Staying tucked in the bunch for the opening laps, Luc launched a well-timed attack over the top to win by several bike lengths. Luc's team mates Sam Harrison and Owain Doull also rode well, with Sam playing a very tactically aware game in the Devil only to lack the legs to hang on to make the final selection, finishing 7th and leaving him 5th in the overall standings.

Hannah Manley in the Girls' category kept hold of her second place overall, riding consistently well to Hannahfinish second in the 1 Mile Dash, 3rd in the Points and 4th in the Devil despite having no team mates to support her. Wales are now 5th ranked team in the Future Stars competition.

Luke Rowe rode strongly in the Elite category for his team Rapha-Condor-Recycling, taking third in the madison kilo with a blistering 58.491s kilo with partner Andy Fenn. Luke was also 4th in a nail biting final Scratch race, where the bunch caught a lone attacker with just laps to go, 6th in the Motor Paced Scratch and 8th in the Points against a start-studded cast of elite riders.
