The GB Team has sent a strong six rider team to the Tour Cycliste Feminin International Ardeche. A UCI 2.2 stage race. The team got off to the best possible start when Olympic champion Nicole Cooke took the first stage in a tight sprint from former world champion Susanne Ljungskog. She then followed that up with a strong 4th place in the second stage Time Trial, leaving her well placed in the overall standings.

We've received a fine selection of images from Bruno Viscentini, which focus on Nicole during the first two stages. She looks understandably relaxed and at ease with herself as she builds up to the World Championships at the end of the month.

Also featuring for GB at the event are Olympic TT medallist Emma Pooley, newly crowned national Time Trial champion Sharon Laws, plus Jessica Allen, Catherine Hare and Rachel Heal.
