Building on the success of last autumn's races in the Forest of Dean we now have 9 more races for you. The series will offer quality, fun & challenging racing for U10, U12, U14 & U16 age plus a fun U8 race.

 

In addition to the 3 races in Gloucestershire we have 6 additional races as part of a larger series of 9, 3 in Carmarthen and 3 in Abergavenny each run as independent series by the local club and Welsh Cycling.

 

The Forest of Dean Course consists of one tough climb, a fast swooping descent and flowing single-track that weaves through broad-leaved woodland. These are multi lap events on a closed off-road course of approx 30 minutes 1.5km laps (U14-U16); 20 minutes 1km laps (U12-U10) and 10 minute 400m laps (U8) based in the 'SallowVallets Area' of Cannop Valley close to Pedalabikeaway Cycle Centre. The course will be an enjoyable and a testing experience for all abilities from fun first timers to die-hard racers

 

Location: Pedalabikeaway Cycle Centre is sign posted from all local roads. Parking is along the fire road in the overflow parking area and is Pay and Display at £3.00 per car, the machine being by the cycle centre. Pedalabikeaway offers a variety of services hot and cold beverages and food available to purchase, bike shop wash etc.

 

The course and signing on opens at 10.30 with racing from 12.00.

 

Cost to race each race

 

Under 8 = £2.00;

Under 10 & 12 = £3.50

Under 14 & 16 = £5.00

 

Prizes are available for each individual venue series of three plus overall. To win overall enter at least 6 races, including the final at Abergavenny. Your best results of any 6 count towards rankings with your position on last race acting as a tie-break.
