The National Escort Group -Wales is a non-profit organisation based in Wales, UK, whose primary aim is to provide 'escort' safety cover for sports events that utilise public roads.
NEG Wales presently comprises of 30 members who provide both static marshalling support and 'rolling' support on motorcycles. The motorcycle safety officers (MSO's) are all experienced and highly trained riders who have undergone the stringent training programme to become accredited members of the group. Likewise the static safety officers (SSO's) have undergone an intensive training programme and form an important part of the service it provides.
They are available to cover almost all sporting events that require competitors/individuals to use or cross public roads. Please see the 'services' section of their web site to learn more about the events they cover.
NEG Wales static/motorbike marshals have now been recognised by all Welsh Police forces and are fast becoming a Nationwide brand. To enable the best service possible and to ensure your event will be covered by the static/motorbike marshals. Please be sure to log your event via the NEG web site early enough to enable sufficient time for the NEG co-ordinator to process the request.
Good luck with all of your events in 2009
