The GB Team for the 2007 Para-Cycling World Championships has been selected with plenty of Welsh flavour. The event is to take place in Bordeaux, France between the 19th and 27th August 2007.

The results from these World Championships will be a major component of the qualifying process for the Beijing Paralympics. Points scored here will be added to the points accumulated in Athens 2004 Paralympic Games to give a Nation ranking and ultimately an athlete quota for Beijing 2008.
In the 2006 World Championships in Aigle, Switzerland, Great Britain finished with 9 Gold medals and were ranked No. 1 Nation in the track competitions and No. 2 Nation overall after the addition of the road race and Time Trial results.
This is the biggest squad the Great Britain Disability Cycling programme has ever taken to a major championships and will be supported by three mechanics, two physiotherapists, three coaches and a performance analyst.
Representing Wales in the GB squad will be Jody Cundy, Simon Richardson and Ellen Hunter (tandem pilot), whilst the men will be joined by Russell White for the road race.
