East Newport CSC have taken another giant leap towards becoming a professionally organised Cycle Speedway club by securing a unique and most welcome sponsorship deal with a top web design company based in the West Midlands. Cornix designs, a company owned and run by Phil & Ian Crowe has always had strong ties to arguably the sports top most club, Wednesfield Aces, who themselves epitomise the mark of excellence which has seen them win every domestic trophy the sport has within their time. Phil's presence there is an extension of this attitude and now East Newport have managed to tap into this valuable resource by using his skills to create a new club website www.eastnewportcsc.
The club started out as a group of friends who used the freewebs based provider under the title of Pedalheads. Club Chairman Rich Hughes takes up the story, the Freewebs website was ok as a starter but we found the restrictions on having a low bandwidth and limited designs restricted the growth and professionalism we as a club aspired to achieve. We aim to be a professionally run club and to succeed. We have to have the best web displays, posters and leaflets to portray our intention. So far its working really well as our membership is growing each month and we would like to thank Phil for taking up the baton and producing this excellent web display.
Club junior representative, 12 year old Louis Harvey was excited at having his profile put on the new site and was even more thrilled at being awarded a new nickname which has become somewhat a tradition at the progressive Welsh club. East Newport operate at senior and junior levels in the
