A special presentation was made to Bev Hughes & Mandy Absalom for the excellent work they have done in providing some of the best refreshments in the sport.

Last season the Club raced in the Midland league as there was no rider restrictions ( there is in the south west ) & were able to put out there strongest side most weeks & that included from Poland European number 2 Lucas Jozwiak & World finalist Pawel Cegielski, but now that the Club are going back to complete in the South West they will be restricted on how many top riders can go into the first team, Chairman Richard Hughes said, its a shame we cant put out our strongest side, but if that what the rules state then there's not a lot we can do.

For the 1st time in the Club's history they have entered the British Team Cup & the European Team Cup, Team manager Nigel Clark said why not if we can get a home draw in the British who knows what might happen as not many club's will relish the thought of racing us on our small track, the European is being held at Leicester now that is going to be a very tough match we may not be one of the favourites, but will give it a good go Clark said.

The Club are also very hopeful of entering sides in the British Team U10 at Kesgrave Ipswich & The British Team U13 at Astley & Tyldesley Manchester.

The Club would like to welcome former British Lion & Welsh International Ian Sizer to the fold, Sizer said I may not have raced for a good number of years due to work & family commitments, but I'm so looking forward to giving it a good go this season.

The Club are always on the look-out for potential sponsors so if you would like to help out in away give us a call on 01633 881846 or email us at absalomrd@aol.com or gilb_thebear@yahoo.co.uk
