Highlights included a 1.10.381 in the Kilo by Ellen Hunter and Aileen McGlynn (pictured above), a new world record, some 5/100ths quicker than their previous best.

Jody Cundy took a half a second of his world record in the Kilo, recording a scorching 1.08.266 for the 4 laps.

Jon Norfolk and Anthony Kappes (below)  took nine thousandths off the world record in the Tandem 200m TT with a time of 10.401s.

Simon Richardson also showed good form with a pb by some two and a half seconds, recording 1.18.860 in the Kilo.

There was also some robust match sprinting between the tandem pairings of Jon Norfolk and Anthony Kappes and Barney Storey and Anthony Gill.

Jody Cundy broke his own world kilo record

Sarah Storey was in fine form and on a night when Rebecca Romero was the talk of the town, it was good to be reminded that Sarah is equally eminent in her category as she produced a 2m 30.944s for 2000m, well within her target time for the night.

The final event of the night was a Team Sprint with Jody Cundy, Rik Waddon and Mark Bristow recording a 51.447s, impressive, but just outside their target time.
