It was a fantastic night for bike racing when the road stars from Europe came to the boards of Manchester and gave the crowd plenty to cheer about. And if they were good, then the young Sprinters from around Europe showed they were every bit as exciting to watch as did the riders in the DHL Future Stars races. Below are just a few examples of the pictures you will find in the photo galleries which are linked to the Report for the event >>>>>.

The final Scratch race was an exciting affair. Towards the end, Roger Hammond, a revelation on the track, got away with Bradley Wiggins and they seemed to have it sewn up ...
.. but World Junior Scratch Race champion Peter Kennaugh had other ideas and he not only caught them with a blistering turn of pace, but then gave them a wide birth when he caught them...
.. and just when we though Kennaugh was going to pull off an upset, along came Adam Blythe who scorched the track on his way to catching the leaders and then having plenty of time to savour the victory! Behind, more riders from the GB programme battled out the minor places showing just how good the young British riders are.
Richard Robotham came up with some exciting shots from the night including this of David O'Loughlin battling with Isle of Man rider Jonny Bellis.
Any doubts that 'cross and road rider Roger Hammond would not adapt to the boards were quickly dispelled and he was quite a revelation and in the action all night. well done Rog!
The DHL Future Stars races for both boys (above) and girls (below) were hard fought for and kept the big crowd entertained.
Emma Trott in one of her many many efforts during the DHL Future Star races.
Chris Whorrall of the Isle of Man and one of his big efforts during the DHL Future Star Races.
Yaroslav Popovych was really great with the autograph hunters, wowing the kids with his sense of humour!
Jimmy Casper also had plenty of laughs on the night!
International sprinting at its best as the Brits took on the might of Germany, Holland and France.
The Germans really took it to the Brits!
More pictures of the sprint action....
.. and one of the big upsets as French rider Ghislan Boiron gives it full gas at the bell and manages to just hold off World Champion Jason Kenny.
