Final Session: We've got the report plus full results and image galleries from the final day. It was a brilliant end to the championships with two thrilling Keirins, a top-quality Team Pursuit, more records for the Paralympic athletes and a very fine Women's Pursuit dominated by Wendy Houvenhagel. | DAY 4 - Women's Sprint Semis & Finals, Men's Points Race, Team Sprint, Disability 200m TT |
Afternoon Session: The Women's Sprint saw the finalists being decided with the talented Anna Blyth making it through to meet Vicky Pendleton. The Team Sprint also got underway and the standard was high as records fell and no less than six trios went under 50 seconds! And the Men's Points heats set up a great final - Day 4 Afternoon >>>> Evening Session: what an evening! Three world records went in the Disability 200m Time Trial along with the national able-bodied tandem record for the distance. There was also a fabulous Points Race dominated by younger riders and another fine performance by Vicky Pendleton as she continued to dominate the women's racing - Day 4 Evening >>>> |
| DAY 3 - Men's and Women's Sprint, Women's Points Race, Men's Scratch Race, Disability Pursuit |
Afternoon Session: The session saw the Men's Sprint competitions reach the semi final stages, whilst the Women's Sprinters worked their way through qualifying and round 1. There was also the qualification races for the Men's Scratch Race: Day 3 Morning >>>> Evening Session: A great evening of entertainment saw Kate Cullen dominate the Points race, with fellow Scot Craig MacLean doing likewise in the Sprint. There was a spectacular crash in the B Sprint competition (check out the pics) and a clash of the paralympic titans as Sarah Bailey took on Darren Kenny in the Pursuit - Day 3 Evening >>>> |
| DAY 2 - Men's Sprint Through to Quarter Finals, 4000m Pursuit & Women's Scratch Race |
Morning Session: Chris Hoy continued his fine Championships with a p.b. in qualifying fastest as the Men's Sprint competition got underway and there were no surprises as all the seeded riders progressed through to the Quarter Finals. In the 4000m Pursuit qualifying, there was an impressive debut in the discipline by David Millar, but fastest was Paul Manning - Day 2 Morning >>>> Evening Session: another gold for Victoria Pendleton as she successfully defended her Scratch Race title in an exciting race. Gold too for David Millar in the Pursuit - his first senior national title. Meanwhile, the Men's Sprint Quarter Finals saw no surprises, but there was some enterprising racing from the younger riders - Day 2 Evening >>>> |

 Evening Session: Victoria Pendleton (right) and Chris Hoy were the not unexpected winners of the 500 and 1000 meter Time Trials, respectively, which made up the first evening's action at the 2006 National Senior and Disability Track Championships.
