The Best Ever Great Britain Team -- Official! March in Los Angeles (USA) was a happy hunting ground for the Great Britain riders as they went chasing medals. They came away with Gold in the Womens Sprint, Mens Madison, Team Sprint and Team Pursuit with other medals in the Kilo. British Cycling was there to capture the glory days exclusively for members back home.

| Day 1, March 24 | Men's Points, Team Sprint, Women's 500m TT |
Great Britain didn't have to wait long for Gold as Jamie Staff, Chris Hoy (World Champions for this event in 2002) and Jason Queally (Olympics 2000 Silver medallist) did the business in the Team Sprint to beat the highly fancied Dutch team to the top step of the podium.
In other events, Chris Newton yet again went close to a medal in the Mens Points race with his second 4th place since winning the event in 2002 and in the Womens 500 metre Time Trial, Victoria Pendleton warmed up for her golden championships with fifth place. Learn More >>>>
| Day 2, March 25 | Men's Ind Pursuit, Men's Keirin, Kilo, W/Points |
A mixed day for the riders in the Great Britain team with both our Olympic Kilometre champions Jason Queally (Silver) and Chris Hoy (Bronze) failing to stop Dutchman Theo Bos taking the top spot in the 1,000 metre Time Trial.
They were the only medals of the day but the GB riders were far from disgraced in the other events of the day with Emma Davies finishing 8th in the Womens Points race whilst Ross Edgar filled the same position (8th) in the Mens Keirin and Rob Hayles had an off day when he was 14th after a Silver last year. Little did we know he would go on to win two gold medals in the coming days! Learn More >>>>
| Day 3, March 26 | Men's Scratch, Team Pursuit, W/Ind. Pursuit, W/Sprint |
More Gold! And what a Gold it was after so many years of silver and bronze, the Team Pursuit boys finally did it winning the event and earning their 'stripes' for the first time in the event's history for GB. But if there was euphoria for the Team Pursuit riders then the camp went wild when a relative newcomer to the team (2002), Victoria Pendleton won her first medal at a World Championship and it was Gold!
Only two medals but Mark Cavendish went close to his first finishing fourth in the Scratch race and Emma Davies showed she is still one of the top Pursuiters in the World finishing 6th. Learn More >>>>
| Day 4, March 27 | Men's Sprint, W/Keirin, W/Scratch, Madison |
After such a glorious day on the Saturday, it just got better on the Sunday when Rob Hayles won his second Gold medal and rainbow jersey of the Championships and Mark Cavendish his first world championship medal when they combined to win the Madison.
In the Womens Keirin, the golden girl from the Sprint, Victoria Pendleton, was 10th whilst Nikki Harris was 7th in the Womens Scratch race. In the Mens Sprint, Ross Edgar was 5th -- the same place he had in the Olympics -- and Craig MacLean showed he is coming back to the top with 8th. Learn More >>>>
