Team Press Release
North East based team Altura, kick-started their winter training for the 2009 season with a mini training camp riding from Darlington to Ambleside in the Lake District and back, in the space of 2 days. The team consists of Dave Cook, Iain Jones, Julie Mann, Chris Leverton and Andrew Oliver. They will be targeting local and national road races and time trials in 2009.
The 180 mile round trip gave the riders to test out their new kit provided by the sponsors. The team is primarily backed by UK clothing manufacturer Altura, with additional backing from Cateye electronics, Panaracer tyres, Camelbak and Powerbar nutrition. Andrew Oliver said ‘we have a really talented group of riders and they are all keen as mustard to get racing again next year’ whilst Iain Jones commented ‘the teams main strength is our team spirit which has been highlighted this weekend – we can’t wait to ride as a team and get some top results for our sponsors’.
