Dean Downing of Rapha Condor/Recycling has won the 2008 Bikeline Two Day after finishing second on stage 3 today. Downing finished ahead overall of Evan Oliphant of Plowman Craven/Evans Cycles and Dale Appleby also of the Rapha Condor team. Winner of stage 3 was stage 1 winner, Ian Wilkinson of SiS/Trek. Russell 'Fonzy' Downing made it two British Cycling Premier Calendar race wins for a Downing as he followed up his brother Deans win in the Bikeline 2 Day with victory in the Girvan 3 Day stage race in Scotland by only four seconds from Rob Partridge. Pinarello Racing Team ace Russell Downing turned in another masterful Premier Calendar performance to win round three, the Tour of the Reservoir in County Durham on Sunday. Downing, the 29-year-old team leader, took over the lead in the series from brother Dean after battling through a chilly wind blowing off the Derwent Reservoir. Report & Images

Russell Downing (Pinarello RT) scored his second stage win of the weekend and took overall victory in the Plowman Craven Chas Messenger 2-Day on Sunday. Downing snatched the victory from Tom Last (Kinesis RT) in the final metres of the decisive stage.

Pinarello's Russell Downing showed what awesome form he has at the moment as he won the Lincoln Grand Prix in front of a huge crowd. Russell broke away through Lincoln with a lap to go, was joined by brother Dean and Simon Richardson and beat them to the finish at Lincoln Castle.

The sixth round of the British Cycling Premier Calendar road racing series was held on Sunday around the village of Stamfordham in Northumberland. Winner after an eventful race was Rob Hayles who crossed the line ahead of Pete Williams and Russell Downing winning the chase behind.

On the flat and wet roads around Blackpool on Sunday, the Tour of Blackpool Premier Calendar race was a roller coaster of highs and lows and won in the end by Russell Downing who has dominated this years Premier Calendar Series. Downing went clear with Ian Stannard in the closing miles and won the sprint along the Promenade

After a break of a few weeks, the battle for the British Cycling Premier Calendar series resumed in East Yorkshire and what an attacking race it was. Nobody though could find a way of beating Russell Downing who showed he was well over his Friday night crash as he beat Kristian House in a two up sprint for the win. Photo albums, full report, reactions and results for the penultimate round of the Premier Calendar. Rob Hayles (Halfords Bikehut) has won the Tour of Pendle after attacking the break he was in on a downhill section as they came into the Lancashire town to start a finishing loop around the town. Points Awarded
Points are be awarded for the first 20 places in each single day road race and for the top 20 overall in stage races as follows: 100, 85, 75, 66, 58, 51, 45, 39, 34, 29, 25, 21, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2.
In each Stage (including prologues) the top 15 placed riders will be awarded National Series Points as follows: 30, 25, 21, 17, 14, 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
The highest placed U23 rider in the final overall standings will be declared the U23 Road Race Series Champion.
The overall competition will be won by the rider who gains the highest number of points gained (A maximum of 10 Single Day and Stage Road Races to count- The number of counting rides available will be reduced if the number of participating events reduces)
