A British Cycling Road Race Series

Previous Years: Junior National Series Winners

The Junior National Road Race Series for the Peter Buckley Trophy is a very prestigious set of events with a long list of champions having featured in the series over the years. More than 50 riders, who have finished in the top three in the series over the years, have gone on to represent their country at senior level and in some cases, been Olympic champions (Bradley Wiggins) or medallists.

On the road, star names like Malcolm Elliott stand out as do others like Steve Joughin, Chris Walker, Chris Lillywhite, Jeremy Hunt, Charlie Wegelius, Russell Downing, Geraint Thomas, Stephen Cummings, and Tom Southam to name but a few. British Cycling wishes the juniors competing in this year's series all the best as they aim to add their names to a very illustrious list. Current Standings

Very quickly it became clear that two of the strong riders in the race were going to be series leader Erick Rowsell in his leader’s jersey and Joe Perrett, but it was to be Perrett's day as first Rowsell and then Peter Dibben and George Atkins who had to succumb to his form as he won the race his club promotes.
