It was a busy weekend of Circuit Racing in the south east of the country with major events at Hillingdon and Brentwood. The day of racing in Brentwood Town Centre saw no less than three National Series events take place and British Cycling was their to capture the action.

| Junior: |
The first event on the days programme at Brentwood (Essex) was the Junior National Series race won by Adam Blythe from Mark McNally and series leader Luke Rowe with World Junior Champion Peter Kennaugh in fourth place. These four dominated the race as they formed a break just after halfway and were never caught again by a hard chasing group. Read more > (Report, Photos, Results)

In the Women's National Series event at Brentwood, where Great Britain's World Silver Women's Pursuit medallist Rebecca Romero (who is also an Olympic Silver medallist in Rowing) was a surprise entry, it was the younger riders who showed the country has a rich vein of talented athletes coming though as 17 year old Alice Monger-Godfrey was the victor from 15 year old Laura Trott and her teenage sister Emma Trott in third. | Elite Men Circuit Series |
The final event of the day was Round 3 of the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series and taking home the first prize was Russell Downing who was too fast for Warwick Spence and hero of the afternoon, Simon Holt. Gordon McCauley, the final member of the breakaway that dominated the final half of the race, was fourth. Read more > (Report, Photos, Results)
| Youth |
Winner of the Youth Under 16/14 race was Twickenham CC's Alex King who broke away from his co-leader for much of the race in the final five laps and soloed to an excellent victory from Joe Perrett who had won the Youth race the day before at Hillingdon and also ridden the Junior event at Brentwood.
