Elite Circuit Series:
Second at Hillingdon the day before, and winner of the Archer Grand Prix, Poland's Mariusz Wiesiak took advantage of the confusion in the PCA camp as the finish line approached and won the Brentwood race a length clear of last years double world champion Rob Hayles with former race winner, James Taylor in third.
Junior National Series Circuit Race
Junior National Series Circuit Race: Part of the Junior National Series, this could not have been more different to the Junior Road Race championship the week before. Winner was Peter Kennaugh who attacked early on with Simon Holt, was then joined by teammate Jonny Bellis and then the two of them got away from Holt to with Kennaugh winning. National Champion Russell Hampton from the promoting club was fourth to make a great day for the Glendene Club.
3-4 Category Circuit Race
Category 3-4 Riders: This was won by London fireman Mick Bell who was the fastest from the small group which was all that was left after a punishing hour long circuit race around the streets of Brentwood's town centre. The rider who is well known as one of the best veteran cyclo-cross riders in the country, managed to avoid a last lap crash and sprint clear with enough time to raise his arms in victory.
Youth Circuit Race
Youth Circuit Race: Held over 45 minutes plus five laps, the pace by the stronger riders soon saw the field split and from a small group left at the finish, Alex-Aldham-Breary (Ciclos Uno) sprinted clear of his rivals to the race in decisive manner. In second place was a rider who gets in the results a lot these days, Michael Wilmot of Hillingdon Slipstreamers whilst Leicester rider Daniel Mclay was 3rd.
