How to use the British Cycling website

Mountain Bike Links

This is a collection of links to Mountain Biking websites we recommend. British Cycling is not responsible for the content of external websites.

www.uci.ch

World governing body of the sport - you'll find details of World Cups, World Championships plus world rankings, rules and a host of other governing body stuff on this well-organised site.

www.singletrackworld.co.uk

Great magazine tie-in site for the hard-core trail, adventure and enduro rider. Home of the legendary Chipps Chippendale and based in the West Yorkshire town of Todmorden - God's own country for mountain bikers. The mag itself is pretty distinctive and offers a welcome alternative to the mainstream mags.

www.bikeandski-vercors.com

Bike and Ski specialists in the heart of the southern French Alps - run by a team with great off-road experience on and off snow who know the area in great detail!

www.descent-world.co.uk

Downhill news, views, forum and interviews. And these guys pride themselves on actually riding -  their motto is "The difference is we actually ride!", so they know what they're on about! They're often to be seen pegging their banners in strategic spots at national events.

www.on-one.co.uk

You could dismiss this as a site for a bike manufacturer. But, you'd be missing the point. Brant Richards' On-One site is well worth visiting, both for the unique machinery available and for the unique philosophy behind the concept and the man. Who wouldn't be intrigued by a bike retailer who specs up mountain bikes without gears and sells them in "that blue"!

www.imba.com

International Mountain Bikers Association. Great advocates of off-road riding and hot on issues such as access and trail maintenance. As with a lot of mountain biking organisations and sites, it's as much an embodiment of a philosophy as a formal body.
