Team Press Release

France based roadman Andrew Jackson faces a new challenge this season competing in top level French UCI  mountain bike racing. He has been living and competing in France for 10 years now, achieving over road 20 wins and a few stage race yellow jerseys from racing in the Pyrenees and the Alps. At the end of a full 2008 road season in France, Andrew decided to compete for fun, in a popular French International mountain bike event called Roc d’Azur.

In his first ever race called Subaru Roc Pro, Andrew finished second and then gained a 36th place in the main event, the Roc d’Azur, alongside many top international mountain bikers. These results were pretty impressive considering he started the races in the second or third groups, with the top riders starting well ahead.

Andrew was then offered a place in a new sponsored French team called Probikeshop.fr with a co-sponsor Viper. They have provided Andrew with two mountain bikes, a road bike and full support at the events. He will still compete in some FFC division 1 road races in France yet his main targets for 2009 is to be successful in mountain bike races and to gain UCI points that will give him the opportunity to start in the front groups. Andrew will return to the UK in July, to compete for the first time in the National Mountain bike Championship.
