Trek 6-4-2 Returns to Sherwood

The Trek 6-4-2 format returns as a one-off season opening enduro on Sunday May 7, acting as a great prelude to the Trek Marathons later in the season.

A course around 10 miles of the fun singletrack at Sherwood Pines will keep the riding interesting and the unique format allows an opportunity for riders to choose their race.

Action from last year's 6-4-2 series

This will be the 3rd year of the Trek 6-4-2 format and Sherwood Pines is an excellent home for this event, with its excellent on-site facilities, including cafe, bike shop, high ropes course and visitor centre. In addition to the permanent attractions of Sherwood Pines, the Trek 6-4-2 event will take place on the same weekend as Round 1 of the 2006 National Points Series so entrants will be able to watch the UK's best riders in action on Saturday including Liam Killeen, Oli Beckingsale, Jenny Copnall and Sue Thomas. Together the NPS and Trek 642 form Round 1 of the National Premier Series.

Riders will be able to try the Trek demo fleet visit the range of team and trade stands and get some fuelling advice from the SIS team, Saturday night will feature further entertainment including the UK premier of the acclaimed Mountain Bike Movie 'Off Road To Athens' which chronicles the trials and tribulations of 8 racers attempting to make it onto Team USA for the Olympic XC event.

Sunday's Trek 6-4-2 provides an opportunity to race the 10 mile course for 6, 4 or 2 hours. The 6 hour solo event will be the official Championship event for the newly formed UK24 Solo Racing Club, the 6 hour also has pair and team options. The 4 hour race is solo only but this year there are separate pro and open categories. If 2 hours is enough for you then you can relax until 2pm and get plenty of time to recover from your saturday exploits.

Entry prices are £20 for all solo categories so it's great value for money compared to other 6 hour events.
