HOW DO I ADVERTISE?

Adverts will be published within five working days of receipt.
TOP TIPS
- Don't forget your phone number
- Don't forget to include sizes of frames and other equipment
- Keep the ad short and to the point, but since web ads are free, there's no need to used acronyms and shorthand as you would in a printed publication
- Re-read your ad before sending it and ask yourself does it make sense and is it totally clear what you are selling or want?
- Don't forget to include a price
- If the item doesn't sell, feel free to ask us to repeat your ad
- Let us know when the item has sold - we'll happily remove your ad
EMAIL AND SPAM
Due to the increasing amout of Email SPAM and bogus email replies to ads posted on this site, we advise all advertisers to include only a phone number in their ads. This is for your protection.
PROTECTING THE SELLER
We recommend that you do not release any goods to the buyer until you have either received a cash payment or succesfully banked a cheque.
DO NOT engage with anyone who states they will send a cheque for a lot more than the amount the item is for sale for. He/she then asks you to cash the cheque and send the goods along with the rest of the money to him via their courier/shipping agent who will come and pick it up. This is a scam which is costing people a lot of money at the moment, because even though at first the cheque may seem to have cleared,it is withdrawn soon after.
PROTECTING THE BUYER
The identity of all advertisers on the site is checked before their ad is posted on the site. This involves cross-checking membership numbers and names to ensure that they are legitimate.
WHEELS
Please note that some wheels of less than 16 spokes are no longer permitted in road and cyclo-cross races. Check the UCI website to ensure that any such wheels that you purchase are suitable for your needs.
