British Cycling member's claim for compensation successfully concluded
22nd March 2006
British Cycling member and London Dynamo club president Paul Callinan has successfully concluded his claim for personal injury compensation.
Paul, a 3rd Cat cyclist, sustained a rotator cuff injury and soft tissue injuries to his right hip and knee as a result of a road traffic accident on 5 February 2004.
On the day of the accident, Paul had been cycling along Brockley Grove Road, Lewisham, at approximately 5.40pm when he was hit by a third party motorist. The motorist produced false contact details at the scene of the accident and unfortunately police enquiries subsequently failed to trace the responsible motorist.
Paul’s claim was successfully pursued via the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) under the Untraced Drivers’ Agreement.
Paul was represented by Anna Hart of Leigh Day & Co’s cycling and sports injuries team.
