British Cycling membership provides both liability and personal accident insurance cover and legal advice and support to Gold and Silver members that are involved in a cycling incident. But if your bike is stolen or damaged in an incident that was wholly or partly your fault, or perhaps nobody’s fault at all, who will cover the cost of repairing or replacing it? Without separate bike insurance cover, could you afford to repair or replace it yourself?
British Cycling can refer members to cycle insurers that cater for both leisure and competitive riders and provide cover for accidental damage as standard. You can buy cover for Loss or Damage, New for Old, Replacement Hire and Emergency Recovery. Cover is available for travel outside the UK and some age restrictions may apply.
