Online entry has just gone live for the Northamptonshire based Squires and Spires Cyclosportive, using the Everyday Cycling Online Entry System.

The Squires and Spires Cyclosportive will take place through the rolling Northamptonshire countryside and will pass through many beautiful villages which are steeped in history.

cyclosportive_start_200The theme of squires and spires will take riders on a tour past many country houses, including Althorpe House (home of the Spencer family and resting place of Princess Diana) and Cottesbrooke Hall (the inspiration for Jane Austen's 'Mansfield Park').

View ancient churches dating back to the 13th century, ride through villages famous for hiding the gunpowder plot rebels and pass by famous battlefields of the English civil war (Edgehill and the decisive Battle of Naseby). There are 2 routes available; The Duchess (80miles) or The Maid (40miles).
