With just a coupke of days to go to the first ever Olympic BMX competition, our photographer Phil O'Connor popped down to the hugely impressive Beijing track to watch the athletes training.

GB's Shanaze Reade was putting the finishing touches to her training and Phil caught her training on the track and warming up and - occasionally - relaxing.
