Champion Team Heads for Junior Belgium

Track and Road Championships

After a very successful European Track Champs where the British juniors were the top ranked nation, the Great Britain riders move up a level to the World Championships in Belgium between the 5th and 13th of August, 2006.

Right: Last year in Austria, Andy Tennant became World Junior Pursuit Champion and for this year's championships, the team have a number of riders capable of following in his footsteps. 

After the success of the GB team at last years Worlds in Austria, the riders for 2006 have a lot to live up to but after the Europeans, their confidence is at an all time high. The team head out for Belgium next week after completing a training camp which is on going right now.

First, they have the Track Championships in Gent between the 5th and 8th of August before moving onto Spa Francorchamps for the Road Championships on what is said to be a tough circuit..

The team for the World Championships has been selected and is as follows. Please note that the events listed for riders is only as a guide and may change. British Cycling will again be with the team to report back on how they perform.
