2009 World Cyclo-Cross Championships
31 Jan - 1 Feb, Hoogerheide, Holland
Report and Images: Joolze Dymond
As ever it was the huge crowds and heady atmosphere which made the Sunday of the World Championships special. And with the home crowd watching their favourite daughter, Marianne Vos, claim a sprint win in the women's race, and the huge contingent of Belgian fans cheering Niels Albert on to a solo win in the men's race, the vast majority of onlookers went home happy. We've got news of the GB riders as well, along with post-race feedback and lots of images.

It was a steep learning curve for the GB team on the first day of competition - all four Junior men have another year in the category and will benefit from this tough baptism of fire. Tom Moses was first home in 32nd place. In the Espoir race, Dave Fletcher had an encouraging ride finishing under a minute down in 17th in a very close race.
