Day 4, Tuesday 8th August - Women's Scratch, Women's Keirin, Men's Sprint

blythThree GB rider's dominated the last two days at the Junior Track Worlds: Jason Kenny won three Gold medals from three events, whilst Anna Blyth (pictured) won the Keirin and took silver in the Sprint! Peter Kennaugh won a bronze in the Team Pursuit and a gold in the Points Race.

The end of the World Track Championships was just as fantastic as the first day with two Gold medals and two 4th places in three events. Jason Kenny won his third Gold medal of the day after he won the Mens Sprint in decisive fashion whilst Anna Blyth won the Women's Keirin with an awesome performance. Christain Lyte finished 4th in the Men's Sprint after running out of legs after a long week while Lizzie Armitstead had yet another 4th place in the Women's Scratch race. We'll have more later on the nights events. More:  >>>>

Day 3, Monday 7th August - Women's Individual Pursuit, Men's Team pursuit, Women's Sprint

Silver and Bronze for the GB team on day 3 with more medals to come in the Mens sprint as both our boys made their way to the semi finals. In the Team Pursuit, the GB team picked themselves up from the disappointment of the morning and easily won the bronze medal with the second fastest time of the competition. In the Women's Sprint, Anna Blyth went one better than the boys by winning Silver in her Sprint competition, a repeat of last year although this time it was the Ukraine rider who beat her for the Gold. More:  >>>>

Day 2, Sunday 6th August - Men's Kilometre, Men's Individual pursuit, Women's Points race, Madison, Men's Keirin

Day 2 belonged to the Aussies with three Gold but GB grabbed another Gold and two more medals to make it another great day for us as well and with Anna Blyth progressing to the semi finals of the Womens Sprit, it was a good day for the GB riders. Christian Lyte had silver in the Kilo whilst David Daniell won the Bronze whilst Jason Kenny continued his great championships with his second gold, this time it was in the Mens Kierin he triumphed in. More:  >>>>

Day 1, Saturday 5th August - Mens Scratch, Womens 500m TT, Mens Points race, Mens Team sprint

Unbelievable. That is the only word to describe a night where out of four events, Great Britain won two and had silver in another, The first came from an out of this world ride by Peter Kennaugh in the Scratch race. Then Jonny Bellis added a silver and finally the Team Sprint took Gold .... More :  >>>>

Training Day 2 - It was the final day of training today prior to competition starting tomorrow and there were no signs of nerves in the GB camp as they went through a series of drills on the track at the end of a long day. We have a report and pictures..  >>>>

Training Day 1 - Thursday was the first day for the Great Britain riders at the Gent track as they prepare for competition in the World Junior Track Championships. On the Wednesday, many of us spent the day travelling from Manchester and other centres in the UK to Belgium by road and air. Not arriving until late afternoon, it wasn't until the next day that the team had a scheduled training session on the track with the Spanish and Japanese teams. Report and pictures >>>>
