Gold again for Great Britain as the lads (Geraint Thomas, Ed Clancy, Ian Stannard, and Andy Tennant) in the Team Pursuit performed brilliantly to blitz the rest and win the title that eluded them last year through back luck.

For the third day in a row, the Great Britain team came away with a Gold medal and plenty of optimism of more to come.

The Under 23 Team Pursuit riders performed magnificently as they were head and shoulders above the rest from Europe as they won the Gold medal for us whilst in the Junior Sprint, Christian Lyte and Jason Kenny are both showing good form as they move on to the semi finals in that event tomorrow.

Of the other events today, there were no medals in the Junior Women's 500m Time Trial but Anna Blyth (4th) and Lucy Ayres (5th) both recorded personal bests for the distance whilst in the Junior Men's Scratch race, Peter Kennaugh was our best placed rider after the GB riders missed the boat and he attacked 8 laps from home only to just miss out on getting back on terms with the leaders. The final event GB was involved in was the Under 23 Sprint where Matthew Crampton finished out of the medals.
