Guess?
Victoria on her way to fourth place and a PB.
In the Women's 500 metre Time Trial, Great Britain's Victoria Pendleton came the closest she has ever been to getting a World Championship medal in the event when she was fourth. She was the fifth quickest for the first lap but kept the pace going to record a personal best of 34.614.
Afterwards she said "I am quite disappointed to be honest but it's a PB and a good time. I don't really know if there is anything in that ride I could have done to have made it better. I just need to be a bit stronger."
Anna Meares.
