Women's Pursuit
For England's Emma Davies-Jones, the Women's Pursuit was something more than just a race after her hit and run accident last year. The Cheshire star who is moving to Belgium when she returns from the Games, was the third fastest qualifier, earning herself a surprise bronze medal, her first in a major championships.
"I'm so excited, it feels like I have won a gold medal," she said afterwards.
Team Sprint
This was the event that the teams of England and Scotland had been preparing themselves for over the last three months and the end result was Gold for Scotland with a sensational time of 44.282 to England's 44.309. And the Aussies had to content themselves with the ride off for Bronze!
Men's Scratch Race
What a performance from young Mark Cavendish in the final event of the Track racing. The World Madison champion got himself in a break with Scotland's James McCallum and three other riders and they very quickly lapped the field.
