Closing Dates:	National Trophy Rounds 1-4: 20 days before each event NB: Closing Date for Round 4 extended to 3rd November Closing Date for Round 5 extended to 1st December
	National Trophy Round 6: 2nd January 2009
	National Championships: 15th December 2008

 

Age Categories for 2008-2009

 

For the 2008-2009 season the following age categories will apply in BC cyclo-cross events:

 

Under 10	born in 1998 or later
Under 12	born in 1997 or later
Youth	born 1993 to 1996
Youth Under 14	born 1995 or 1996
Junior	born 1991 or 1992
Senior	born 1990 or earlier
Under 23	born 1987 to 1990
Women	born 1992 or earlier*
Veteran	born 1968 or earlier
Veteran 40-49	born 1959 to 1968
Veteran 50+	born 1958 or earlier

 

National Championship Classifications:

 

Vet 40	born 1964 to 1968
Vet 45	born 1959 to 1963
Vet 50	born 1954 to 1958
Vet 55	born 1949 to 1953
Vet 60	born 1944 to 1948
Vet 65	born 1939 to 1943
Vet 70+	born 1938 or earlier

Categories in italics are only recognised in certain events.

*Races for Women are open to Junior, Under 23, Senior and Veteran Women. 

The National Under-23 Men’s Championship is scheduled to be run as a separate race, however British Cycling reserves the right to incorporate this within the Senior Men’s Championship should entries to the Under-23 race be insufficient.
