Ciclos Uno Cross/Eastern League Round 13

With the National Championships just a week away, top Junior David Nichols showed he's in fine form with a great win in the 13th round of the Eastern Cyclo-Cross League at Chelmsford. The Glendene CC rider finished almost half a minute clear of runner-up Nathan Miller.

Another rider with one eye on the Nationals is veteran Phil Roach and he too was in dominating form, winning his race by a clear two minutes from Clive Ling. Geoff Bores was the first over-50 and Pete Mooney the first over-60. Susan Wood led home a small women's field.

Earlier in the day Hugo Robinson continued his build up to the Nationals with a controlled win in the Youth race, looking in a different class as he finished almost 2 and a half minutes clear in the half-hour race. Phoebe Aubugeau-Williams was the first girl finisher.

Archie Wishart was the winner of the under-12 race, with Lorna Robinson the first girl in third place.
