Eastern 'Cross Round 11

National Junior series leader David Nichols was the winner of a very closely fought 11th round of the Eastern Cyclo-Cross league. In tricky conditions at Broome Heath the Glendene CC rider just held off Ben Roach in a sprint finish, with Shaun Aldous just a few seconds back in third.

Hugo Robinson was an altogether easier winner of the Youth race, putting over 3 minuts into the opposition, with Lewis Parker a distant second and Sam Bores third.
Phil Roach was the Vets' race winner, coming in 35 seconds clear of Julien Parker. Clive Ling was third. Geoff Bores was the first over-50 home and the first woman was Abbie Thorrington, who rode strongly to claim 13th overall.
Archie Wishart won the Under-12 race at a canter, coming in over half a minute clear of Callum Makie, with James Jackson third.
