Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Track CyclingCoaching_Resource_Cover_-_L3_core_

 

 

The Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Track Cycling (L3CCTC) is aimed at Level 2 Track Coaches that wish to develop their knowledge of track coaching and begin to prescribe training for individual track riders.

The qualification will give you the ability and knowledge to plan, deliver and evaluate detailed periodised training programmes for track sprint and endurance riders. You will also be introduced to a number of advanced track skills and tactics to further enhance your track coaching sessions. This award is the minimum requirement for the delivery of Go-Ride Track Gear 7.

 

The Level 3 Certificate in Track Cycling is delivered through two units: the Level 3 Core Unit and the Level 3 Track Unit. Coaches will achieve the Level 3 Certificate in Track Cycling by completing different routes depending upon their previous experience.

 

Which route am I eligible to attend?

 

Route 1

You can attend the Route 1 Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Track Cycling if:

  • You are a Level 2 Track Coach who has successfully completed the Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Cycling and the Level 2 Track Coaching Award or the Activity Coach Award
  • You have a current and recognised Appointed Persons First Aid certificate, or equivalent
  • Present a valid enhanced CRB check.

Route 2

You can attend the Route 2 Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Track Cycling if:

  • You are a Club Coach who has successfully completed all aspects of the Level 2 Track Award
  • You have a current and recognised Appointed Persons First Aid certificate, or equivalent
  • Present a valid enhanced CRB check.

Route 3

You can attend the Route 3 Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Track Cycling if:

  • You have successfully completed all aspects of another discipline specific Level 3 Coaching Qualification (eg Level 3 Road and Time Trial)
  • You have a current and recognised Appointed Persons First Aid certificate, or equivalent
  • Present a valid enhanced CRB check.
