Coaching and Racing Opportunities With The Merseyside Development Group

20081107_Merseyside_group200Through Autumn and Winter the Merseyside Development Group are being very active and providing regular top quality coaching and racing opportunities for young people.  Any 11-16 year old’s can attend and hone their skills for the next Road Racing season, or keep sharp for the next North West Cyclo-Cross Race.  There are many Go-Ride clubs affiliated to the Merseyside Development Group who work together to ensure that young people have the best cycling opportunities. Those clubs include New Brighton CC, Chester RC, Liverpool century and Liverpool Mercury CC.

 

There will be 1 coaching session per month through to February and riders are advised to arrive at Litherland Sports Park at 9am ready for a 9:30am start and to be prepared for a full days activity up until 2pm. Refreshments will be available, but the riders will have to supply their own packed lunch and energy drinks if required. There is full chang20081107_Merseyside_coach200ing room and shower facilities, male and female, with lockers and full bike security if required.

The racing opportunities for young people promoted by Merseyside Development Group clubs include the Merseyside Wheelers Cyclo Cross ra20081107_Merseyside_rollers200ce on the 22nd November. The venue is the Wavertree/Botanic Park, L7 5PX and commences at 10am. Under 12’s race free and under 16’s pay a small fee of £3 for their race. For more information please contact Race Secretary J.
