New Cyclo-Cross Coaching In The South East
News Posted 8th September 2008
The Go-Ride Team in the South East has already made plans to make sure that young people in the region can have fun over the winter and learn new cycling skills. The Go-Ride Coach John Scripps has organised 3 weekend coaching programmes before Christmas. All are Cyclo-Cross, and have a competition theme attached to them. Day 1 of each programme will be a coaching day, learning new skills and practising certain areas of the cyclo cross course in preparation for day 2. Day 2 you will put those new found skills to the test when after a short warm up session, you will practise the full course and then take part in the London league event.
Dates for the programmes are as follows;
18/19th October - Temple School, Medway
15/16th November - Stanmer Park, Brighton
6/7th December - Wilmington School, Wilmington near Dartford.
Full details are on the Cyclo-Cross Autumn programmes flyer, but if you have any questions please get in touch with John Scripps, 07843 549 106. Please note that we must now only have bookings in advance, 7 days prior to the relevant programme. Programmes are cancelled if there are insufficient numbers, so book early to avoid dissappointment.
British Cycling's South East region have also created a Facebook group to publicise the coaching programmes. Please find the link here;
