Hayes' Summer of Sport BMX Coaching

 

Free BMX Coaching @ Hayes Hawks BMX Club - August 2008

 

Hayes Hawks BMX Club have been awarded a grant from London Summer of Sport to run free BMX Coaching during August from Tuesday 12th for three weeks. So if you want to try a new exciting Olympic sport and fancy yourself to be the next Shanaze Reade or fancy your chances for London 2012, then come on down...

Anybody is invited to come along and we will be offering coaching for current BMX racers who want to take it to the next level and sharpen their skills and improve fitness as well as newcomers to the sport. The Coaching is available to ages 5-18 and we would also welcome girls.

Here is the schedule of dates and times.

Week 1.

Tues 12th Aug 12.00pm - 3.00pm
Wed 13th Aug 4.00pm - 6.00pm (Club Gate Practice starts after 6.00pm. Cost £3.00)
Thurs 14th Aug 12.00pm - 3.00pm

Week 2.

Tues 19th Aug 12.00pm - 3.00pm
Wed 20th Aug 4.00pm - 6.00pm (Club Gate Practice starts after 6.00pm. Cost £3.00)
Thurs 21st Aug 12.00pm - 3.00pm

Week 3.

Tues 26th 4.00pm - 6.00pm
Wed 27th 4.00pm - 6.00pm (Club Gate Practice starts after 6.00pm. Cost £3.00)
Thurs 28th 4.00pm - 6.00pm

Hayes Hawks BMX Club is located in Lake Farm Country Park, Dawley Road, Hayes UB3 7E1

 

Open Races at the Hawks.

The Club will also be holding an Open Race on Sunday 17th August, with registration to race from 9.30am with race fees being £5.00 each class. The Club will also be holding another open race on Sun Sept 14th. STOP PRESS: Additional open race on the 21st Sept.

 

"Girl Power Coaching Clinic" (POSTPONED TILL 20TH SEPT)

Also to celebrate BMX Racing going into the Olympics, the Club will be hosting a "Girl Power BMX Coaching Clinic" on Sat 6th Sept 1.30pm - 3.30pm - Note: (POSTPONED TILL 20TH SEPT) - Cost: Free. Coaching the girls will be GB Squad member Joey Gough and Relentless/Dialled Lauren Smith. The Girl Power Clinic is open to all ages and from any club or region.
