European BMX Championships  - Rider Information

 

Event Dates: 1-4 May 2008

 

This year's European BMX Championships are to be held in Weiterstadt in Germany, which is around 20 minutes drive from Frankfurt. The event will take place from the 1st to the 4th of May

 

Free practice starts at 1pm on Thursday the 1st. The practice order hasn't been announced yet, so anytime between 1pm and 8pm will be Great Britain's allocated practice time.

There's more practice Friday morning before Cruiser racing starts at 3pm. Saturday will be racing for all riders aged 9 through to 14 years and Sunday will be racing for all 20" class riders aged 15 years and over.  For the Junior and Elite classes, racing will commence after the finals on Saturday and Sunday.

All riders must wear their nation's flag on their shoulder or the national jersey. Any rider requiring a jersey must place their order with British Cycling by March the 25th. An order form is available by email: bmx@britishcycling.org.uk or send a cheque made payable to "British Cycling" for £35.00 and please ensure you include the jersey size you require.

The deadline for registration is April the 11th. All participants wishing to camp track side, must pre book using the correct form.
