The Sport of Cycling in the UK
British Cycling provides its members with a comprehensive calendar of over 1500 events across six disciplines - BMX, Cyclo-Cross, Cycle Speedway, Mountain Biking (Downhill, 4-Cross and Cross-Country), Road and Track Racing - and supports this calendar with licensing, rankings, standings and extensive rave reporting on this website.Go-Ride
British Cycling's nationwide network of over 100 child-friendly cycling clubs runs a range of exciting cycling activities at safe off-road facilities. Go-Ride is the cornerstone of British Cycling's club development programme. All clubs have qualified coaches, CRB checked volunteers and tremendous commitment towards and enthusiasm for getting young people involved in cycling. Coach Education
British Cycling runs a wide range of coach education courses, aimed at entry level coaches who want to work with young children and in schools, right through to coaches who want to work with international athletes. With over 1000 new coaches qualifying in the last five years, this programme has been one of British Cycling's greatest successes.
Facilities & Major Events
British Cycling is committed to bringing the biggest cycling events to the UK. The UCI's World Cup series in Road, Track and Mountain Biking are regular visitors to our shores. Several World Championships are also due to visit the country in the next few years. Britain is already blessed with several world class cycling facilities and British Cycling has also been supporting a large number of regional and club facility development and re-development projects.
