Olympic Talent Coach Scotland Salary £20-25k + Car
British Cycling’s Olympic Talent Programme is the beginning of the pathway to excellence for talented young people. We now have an opportunity for an appropriately qualified individual to join us in the above role.
As a member of the Olympic Talent Team, you will identify and nurture young performers who demonstrate that they may have the characteristics for future World Class success in cycling through a track based approach to performer development.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional individual to join our team, to coach young people to achieve their potential. You will coach and mentor specific athletes, plan and implement and deliver squad training schedules, gather, analyse and feedback/report on field data on talent identification and training exercises and liaise effectively with all relevant parties. You will be required to build relationships with club and other volunteer coaches in order to ensure increased opportunities exist for youth category competitors throughout the region with the aim of raising standards throughout.
A proportion of your time will be given to working with other identified Scotland cyclists who may be in consideration for Commonwealth Games selection.
You must be able to demonstrate coaching success in a minimum of two cycling disciplines (Track Coaching essential) and have strong experience of working successfully with young people. Your commitment to high performance will be demonstrated by your on-going professional development, together with an understanding of performance coaching including utilising a variety of equipment to provide athlete feedback and reports.

Our hours of work are 37.5 per week, although unsociable hours and some periods of time overseas are features of the role. Free parking is available to all staff at the National Cycling Centre.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced CRB check.
