British Cycling’s GB Coaching Team is highly regarded as one of the best in the world, having coached elite athletes to successful performances on the Olympic, Paralympic and World stages.  We now have an opportunity for an appropriately qualified individual to join us in the above role.

 

The objective for GB Team, based at the National Cycling Centre, is to achieve medal-winning performance on the World stage.

 

We are looking for an individual to join our team, to drive performance excellence in the paralympic sphere of our sport.

 

To succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate proven success in coaching elite athletes and managing people, projects and budgets.  The role will require working with the Disability Coaches to design and implement a racing and training programme that is both inspirational and effective.  A degree in coaching, sports science, physical education or equivalent is essential.  You must also possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.

All of our permanent employees are automatically awarded Gold Membership of British Cycling.  Our hours of work are 37.5 per week, although unsocial hours and significant periods of time overseas are a regular feature of the role.  Membership of the pension scheme is offered on completion of 6 months service.  British Cycling operates a salary sacrifice Childcare Voucher Scheme and Cycle to Work Scheme.  Free parking is available to all staff at the National Cycling Centre.
