Scottish Cycling is looking to appoint 4 Regional Development Coaches in the 2nd phase of implementing a regional delivery programme across Scotland. This next phase represents considerable expansion to the Regional coaching team and is reflective of working partnerships formed with key local authorities.
The 4 areas being recruited are the West, Highland & Islands, Grampian and the East.
The role involves significant coaching delivery from entry to the sport at school level through to the development of Regional schools of racing feeding into the Discipline specific Talent Teams. We would like to hear from innovative individuals who want to inspire young people to participate and compete across the range of cycling disciplines.
As you will be the key contact in the region you will need to represent Scottish Cycling on a local level under the direction of the Regional Development Coach Coordinator. You will need to be self motivated and able to drive forward the implementation of Scottish Cycling’s Regional Development programme. We are therefore looking for individuals who have knowledge of issues relating to sports development and who have the ability to work with key partners to deliver the strategic objectives of Scottish Cycling.
Applicants should either have experience and qualifications in sports coaching, or be able to provide evidence of relevant experience in a range of cycling activities. Applicants would be expected to gain all appropriate Coaching qualifications within a pre determined probationary period.
