UCI Women's World Cup, Grand Prix of Wales, Newport : Saturday 20th August 2005 - Volunteer Marshals
One of the most prestigious races in the international women's road cycling calender will take place in the UK for the first time in Newport, Wales on Saturday 20th August 2005.
The Celtic Manor Resort will play host to the 3 lap, 71 miles 2005 World Cup race, the 8th of the 11-round series. Broadcast live by BBC Grandstand, there will be professional teams from around the globe competing in Newport.
We are seeking volunteer marshals to assist with this high profile event, with the primary task being to assist traffic and spectators and to indicate the route of the race.

Each marshal will receive:
  • A packed lunch
  • Official Souvenir Programme
  • Complimentary BikeWales entry on Sunday 21st August 2005 - a mass participation ride with a choice of 3 distances www.bikewales.org
Coaches from The Celtic Manor Resort will be provided for drop-off/pick-up of marshals from their respective locations along the route. Estimated finish time 16.00hrs.
Our challenge is to source 100 marshals and we hope that with your support this can be achieved.
