North Wales Special Project Group
Welsh Cycling is delighted to announce that the inaugural meeting of the North Wales special project group will be held at the North Wales Theatre, Llandudno on Friday 29th July at 6:30pm.
The group is being formed following positive feedback to the idea at the Welsh Cycling road shows held in North Wales earlier this year. All North Wales Cycling Club members are invited and urged to attend this meeting, where the chairman of the group will be elected, and the future agenda for the group formalised.

Junior Tour of Ireland Stage 3
Dafydd Dylan was narrowly beaten in a sprint for the line in the third stage of the Junior Tour of Ireland. Dafydd held off strong competition to make a break four miles from the finish, surprising the main group of riders. He was disappointed to lose out on the final sprint but will take heart from another good team performance.
Yesterdays result sees Dafydd move up into 15th position in the overall classification, with Rob Blunden still in 6th just 13 seconds off the lead.
Today's stage is the longest of the tour at 69.5 miles, and the Welsh team will be looking to assist Rob to move up the general classification.
Junior Tour of Ireland Stage 2
A good team performance from the Welsh juniors in the second stage of the Junior Tour of Ireland ensured that three riders Welsh riders were positioned within the top 25.
Rob Blunden held of a strong challenge to keep sixth position in a field where the top ten places are separated by only 26 seconds. The Welsh team goes into today's team looking to pick up points in the mountains and to try and push Rob up the general classification.
Wales Junior Team Off To A Steady Start.
The Wales junior team are currently competing at the Junior Tour of Ireland. Last nights short prologue went well for the Welsh team, with Rob Blunden finishing highest in 6th postition just a few seconds behind the leader.
The longer stages of the tour begin in earnest for the team today. Regular updates on the race can be found here daily.
