After his fluke training accident last week (see below), Junior World Champion Geraint Thomas is scheduled to leave hospital on Friday. Thomas, who had his spleen removed as a result of the accident, is said to be in high spirits and is already anxious to get back on the bike. However, Geraint will spend the next couple of weeks remaining in Australia recovering until he is well enough to travel, and is in the company of his family who flew out after the accident.
