Each year, sports clubs in Wales collectively
spend millions on goods and services but now they can reduce
that expenditure through the WSA
Club Preferred Suppliers List compiled in conjunction with the
Welsh Sports Association.
Providing discounts on anything from sports wear to marquee
hire, the WSA
Club Preferred Suppliers List enables sports clubs
and their members to save money on their core sporting and
fundraising activities. The List currently contains offers
covering, sports equipment, trophies, sports medicine,
sportswear, stationery, printing, marquee hire, event
entertainments, musicians and on other event infrastructure.
The list has been compiled by David Cotton from the WSA's
Commercial Unit,
"An equivalent list for the governing bodies has already enabled
thousands to be saved.Now
it's the opportunity for clubs to benefit from an extended
selection of offers. This List represents a range of club
benefits unparalleled throughout the UK.
This will help clubs throughout Wales to reward the invaluable
support of club officials and volunteers, whilst enabling
members to save money. "

New club president Mr Bill Twigg
has stated that he is delighted with the spirit and positive outlook for the
future for the Rhyl Cycling club, following the terrible tragedy that
occurred in January 2006.
The third series of Revolution racing came to an end at the
Manchester Velodrome on Saturday night with some great racing.
The future stars competition also came to a head with Welsh
athletes once again showing their skills.
In the girls event, Welsh girls were in the thick of the
action all night with an overall title series win for Lucy Richards, with
Katie Curtis second and Alex Greenfield taking third.
In the boys event, both Rhys Lloyd and Luke Rowe were in the
middle of the action all night with Rhys taking two seconds and a third to
consolidate his position in runners up position for the series. Luke's
positive riding saw him finish the series in fourth.
Our congratulations go to all the riders who have represented
Wales during the series. For more details and pictures of the evening
