Volunteers are vital to everything that happens in Cycling in Wales. Without them there would be no racing, no clubs, few coaches and Welsh Cycling, the organisation, would grind to a halt almost immediately. Welsh Cycling has been working hard over the past few months to update its structure in particular to create voluntary posts that are better defined and smaller with more limited and clearly defined responsibilities.
Welsh Cycling needs to fill two volunteer posts right now. More details can be found HERE.
Welsh Cycling also needs volunteers to come forward at the AGM in October to sit on the board of Welsh Cycling. More details can be found HERE.
Its time to start thinking about the 2006 Race Calendar!
Apart from for Cyclo-cross which is already sorted for this winter, registration forms will soon be going out to clubs and organisers for events in all disciplines in 2006. If you havent done so for a while or even ever before, why not consider promoting an event in 2006? All event organisers get free Bronze Membership of Welsh Cycling as a thank you and you can be sure that help and advice will be available from existing experienced organisers.
In particular, we need offers from clubs to promote Welsh Championships in all disciplines and for all age groups. If you have any questions or are interested in promoting a Welsh Championship event, please contact the discipline coordinator or the Welsh Cycling office.
