- Magnus Backstedt failed in his attempt to break the Derny paced hour record on Saturday night at the Wales National Velodrome.
- Magnus completed 58.25km, short of the record of 66.114km held by Matthe Pronk. The evenings racing also played host to other big names including Craig MacLean, Ross Edgar, Dario Cinio and Patrick Calcagni.
